What is a Bobcat Day? Bobcat Day 2025: Bobcat Bonanza is a fun-filled, action-packed day of Cub Scout adventure!
Volunteers will facilitate a variety of events and activities focused on Cub Scout advancement and enrichment. All Cub Scouts are invited to join the fun!
Who can participate in Bobcat Day? Registered Cub Scouts and their families are invited to participate. Older siblings/Scouts and non-Scouts are invited to attend, but programs may be limited. Registration can be placed by unit or by family. Cub Scouts may not attend the event unaccompanied.
Dates: The Bobcat Bonanza will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025. The day begins with a flag ceremony, at 8:30 a.m., and concludes around 4:00 p.m.
Cub Scout packs (with B.A.L.O.O.-trained leaders present) can camp on Friday night, April 25, and/or on Saturday night, April 26. All
participants should plan to depart by 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2025. For families who wish to camp without their pack, please visit www.summitbsa.org/familyadventurecampwv to learn about family-camping options or contact Johnny Tracy, at Johnny.Tracy@scouting.org or 901-489-6027.
Location: The 2025 Bobcat Bonanza will be held at the Summit Bechtel Reserve. All participants should enter through the North Gate, the address for which is 2550 Jack Furst Drive, Glen Jean, West Virginia 25846. Due to its proximity to the Summit Center and other camping and program facilities, Base Camp Bravo will be the camping area for the Bobcat Bonanza on the Summit site. All drivers will be provided directions at arrival.
Costs and Inclusions: Bobcat Bonanza is $15.00 per participant (youth or adult). This fee includes events and program activities and lunch on Saturday. There is no additional fee to camp on Friday and/or Saturday evenings, but the only provided meal is lunch on Saturday.
