To promote the safe and responsible use of ATV’s, thereby reducing accidents and injuries that may result from improper ATV operation by the rider. This is an important goal shared by both the Buckskin Council and the All-Terrain Vehicle Safety Institute. (ASI for short.)
About Rider Course Training
The ASI Hands-on Weekend ATV RiderCourse is conducted by licensed ATV Safety Institute Instructors. The course offers students an opportunity to increase their safety knowledge and to practice basic riding skills in a controlled environment under the direct supervision of a licensed Instructor. The RiderCourse includes pre-ride inspection, starting and stopping, quick turns, hill riding, emergency stopping/swerving and riding over obstacles. You'll also learn about protective gear, local regulations, places to ride and environmental concerns. Meet new friends to ride with while enjoying the trails of Hatfield & McCoy.

Camp Chief Logan
Class is open to registered Youth and Adults age 14 and up. All participants must wear long sleeve shirts, full length pants, and over-the-ankle boots. Arrive no later than 8:30 on Saturday.
Meals, Lodging, ATV, Helmet, Goggles, Gloves, Hatfield McCoy Trail Ticket, ATV Safety Institutes Training Card, Riding Course Materials, and Safety Books
Students who participate in the training sessions and then purchase an ATV will be eligible to receive reimbursement for their training fees if they buy an ATV within 12 months of the completion of the course from ATV Manufacture.
