Registration is Now Open!
The 2017 National Jamboree will be July 19 through July 28th at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in Glen Jean, WV. We will be sending 5 troops and a full Venture crew. The fee for the 2017 National Jamboree is $1,250. which is the same fee as for the last Jamboree. The National Fee has gone up, but your Jamboree committee is working very hard to keep the fee the same for Buckskin Council participants.
Youth and adults seeking a place in the council’s contingent must complete the on-line application and submit an initial payment of $175 to the council. To register on-line, you must have a My.Scouting.org username and password. The My.Scouting account needs to be in the name of the person attending the Jamboree, not the parent/guardian that is com-pleting the application for a youth participant. The My.Scouting account you use should also be linked to your current BSA membership number. Once the on-line application is completed, an email will be sent to the primary email address entered on the application confirming the data entered. A copy of this email should accompany the applicant’s initial payment. Payments can be made at the Charleston Service Center or mailed to:

Contingent Leadership Applications
Adults seeking a leadership position with the council’s contingent must also complete the Leadership Application which can be found on page 6 of this issue of the Buckskin Courier or on the Council’s website. Buckskin Council has committed to sending 5 Troops and 1 full 40-person Venturing Crew. We need four leaders for each unit and we expect to select a mix of experienced and brand new leaders. This application may be mailed to the Charleston Service Center or emailed to Carl.Sullivan@scouting.org
. Please don’t delay! Get your application in as soon as possible but no later than December 31st, 2015. We will be making final decisions early in the next year.
